C. Frank Figliuzzi, Special Agent in Charge of the Cleveland Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation(FBI) and Sheriff Gerald McFaul, Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Department, announced the arrest of Larry R. Bess, age 66, who was residing in Athens, Georgia under an alias name, on March 5, 2007. Bess was arrested by the Athens-Clark County Police Department and the Athens Resident Agency of the FBI on warrants issued from the State of Ohio. Bess had been indicted on November 27, 1989 in Cuyahoga County for Rape and Gross Sexual Imposition of a minor which occurred in North Royalton, Ohio. Bess was also wanted on a Federal warrant filed on March 24, 1999 for Unlawful Flight to Avoid Prosecution. Bess was arrested as a result of a fugitive investigation conducted by the North Royalton Police Department, Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Department and the Cleveland Office of the FBI.
