C. Frank Figliuzzi, Special Agent in Charge of the Cleveland Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation(FBI), for the Northern District of Ohio, announced the arrest of Anthony L. Barnes, age 37, of Cleveland, Ohio, on March 23, 2007. Barnes was arrested by the Maple Heights Police Department shortly after he robbed the US Bank located at 5384 Northfield Road, Maple Heights, Ohio. Barnes has been charged with one count of Bank Robbery for the US Bank robbery and bank robbery charges are pending in the following robberies: National City Bank, 2771 S. Moreland Road, Cleveland, Ohio on 01/30/2007; Key Bank, 3370 Warrensville Center Road, Shaker Heights, Ohio on 02/05/2007; US Bank, 13127 Shaker Square, Cleveland, Ohio on 02/08/2007; and the Sky Bank, 20144 Van Aken, Shaker Heights, Ohio on 02/16/2007.

Barnes will appear today in United States District Court, Cleveland, Ohio for his initial appearance on this charge.
